Patchetts Green, Aldenham and Roundbush
Conservation Society (PARCS)
Meeting: April 3, 2012
Present: Paul Kemble, Howard Lambert, Brian Hyde, Gauri das, Lorraine Kemble, Tony Arens.
Apologies: Brian Hyde (junior), George Coxwell, Val Coxwell, Mickey Green, Stuart Reeve-Young.
1. Ponies around Patchetts: There has been concern about the increasing number of ponies being cared for in the fields around Patchetts Green. The untidiness left by those responsible for the ponies is more of a problem. Paul and Lorraine have been requested to speak to their owner to access what their plans for the future are. They will also request the owner to clean up the mess, implement an alternative solution to the pallets being used as fencing, and to take on board the concerns of the adjacent neighbours.
2. Area of Conservation: Brian (senior) will outline on a map the exact area that PARCS consider their area of concern. Gauri will provide the map.
3. B462: Alterations have been made to the B462 adjacent to the turning for Patchetts Green. No consultation was carried out and the alterations are somewhat peculiar. Brian will contact Highways to make inquiries.
4. Plots in Patchetts: there are various plots of land between Summerhouse and Pegmire Lanes and their ownership is not known. Paul will contact the Land Registry and seek clarification.
5. Bhaktivedanta Manor Planning Brief: a planning brief has been produced by Hertsmere Planning for the site of the Manor. The members were requested to read the Brief in detail, while considering that salient issues for the locality may be traffic or intensification. Gauri declared an interest and will therefore be excluded from discussion relating to the site.
6. Hedge Laying: Brian raised interest in the hedge laying on Bhaktivedanta Manor’s driveway. It is traditionally done and something to see if in the area.
7. AGM: Plans must now be made for an AGM. Gauri will coordinate a suitable date and location for the month of May.
