Meeting 7 April 2014

Meeting: 7 April 2014

Present: Paul Kemble, Lorraine Kemble, Minesh Patel, Tony Arens, Brian Hyde, Gauri das.

Apologies: Howard Lambert

Parcs: Over the last year PARCS have not met regularly. There will be a consultative review of the societies membership to include more representatives of the surrounding localities of Letchmore Heath and Wall Hall.  An AGM will now be planned for 22 May, 7.30pm.

PARCS and Patchetts Forum: Brian raised the topic of merging the Patchetts Forum and Conservation Society. Others expressed that conservation requires specific interest and that the Patchetts Forum has been Patchetts focused and more social. Both are important forums.

First World War Centenary Event: Brian covered the basic details of a local community event he is planning in commemoration of the First World War. The event is planned for early in the month of August. A meeting will be held on Thursday 24 April, hopefully at the Memorial Hall if it is available. Representatives from Letchmore Heath will be invited.

Aldenham Memorial Hall: PARCS will arranged to have periodic meetings at the Aldenham Memorial Hall. This should help to make the meetings more accessible to others.

Pegmire Lane Plots: Some destructive work has been going on at the Pegmire Plots. Some trees have been cut down, which have fallen on the footpath. The activity is causing concern amongst residents of Patchetts.

Horses Next to Power Station: complaints were heard about access to the public pathway running between Bhaktivedanta Manor and the Power Station.
The problem of access is arising from the area being used by the traveller community’s use of the area for keeping horses. Action: the local councilors will be invited to the next meeting.

Next Meeting 24 April 7.30pm, location to be confirmed.
